Amy Thatcher has been at LMS for five years, spending two years with Cathy Slocumb in kindergarten and then moving to her current position as a first grade teacher. Prior to joining us, Amy taught for 13 years in preschool, kindergarten, first grade, and third grade and in both private and public schools.Amy is a native of Chattanooga, growing up on Signal Mountain. She graduated from The Bright School, GPS, and The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She earned her Master’s Degree in Education from UTC.Amy is married to Tommy Thatcher and has two daughters, Mary Lyddon and Carson.
