August 9, First Day of School Information
LMS 1st – 5th grade families
Dear LMS Families,
On behalf of the entire LMS Faculty and Staff, Mrs. McKenna and I look forward to welcoming you back for the 2023-2024 school year! I am so excited to be your Principal and Mrs. McKenna is equally as excited to be stepping into a new role as Assistant Principal. We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s educational journey at LMS. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns.

On the morning of August 9, please park in the Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church parking lot located directly across the street from LMS. The LMS front doors and kindergarten entrance doors will be unlocked at 7:55 AM. Please walk with your child(ren), utilizing the crosswalk, and entering the front or kindergarten entrance doors. Please proceed to the classrooms. Several LMS staff members will be at the front door and in the hallways to assist with locations of classrooms, as needed.
The tardy bell rings at 8:10 AM. Please exit the school after you drop off your child(ren). The walker/bike rider bell rings at 2:50 PM and the car rider bell rings at 3:00 PM. Please plan to pick up car riders by 3:10 PM. There is no early care at LMS, but afternoon care, School Age Child Care (SACC), is available until 6:00 PM.
